University of California and the Los Angeles Unified School DistrictOver the last four years the University of California Professional Development Institute (UCPDI) and Los Angeles Unified School District have worked together to provide professional development for LAUSD High Point teachers. We are now taking the professional development work to another level. In addition to providing district-wide workshops, in 2007-2008 we will bring the professional development support directly the school sites and teachers through UCSD Online Courses and the High Point Web Tool. The resource includes support for classroom instruction, recommendations to address student challenges, examples of student work, and video clips showing High Point Teachers in LAUSD classrooms.
